Choreographin/Tänzerin
Johanna Devi wurde 1980 in München geboren. Ab ihrem sechsten Lebensjahr erhielt sie Unterricht in zeitgenössischem Tanz und Ballett bei Jessica Iwanson. Ab 1995 nahm sie zusätzlich die klassische indische Tempeltanzform Bharatanatyam auf, die sie in Deutschland, Indien und Kanada studierte und im November 2006 in Berlin zum Abschluss brachte. Sie ist eine der wenigen europäischen Tänzerinnen, die indischen Tanz auf einem Niveau zeigt, das eigentlich Inderinnen vorbehalten ist.
Johanna absolvierte zusätzlich eine Ausbildung in modernem Tanz bei danceworks-berlin e.V. und der Alvin Ailey School of American Dance Theater in New York City. Zu ihren Lehrern gehörten unter anderem Savithri J. Rao (Kalakshetra/Madras), Lata Pada (Toronto), Rajyashree Ramesh (Berlin), Gayatri Devi (Kalakshetra/NYC), Ana Marie Forsythe (NYC), Tracy Inman (NYC) sowie Elena Comendador (NYC). Neben ihren tänzerischen Ausbildungen erhielt sie außerdem eine fundierte Ausbildung in klassischer westlicher Musik (Klavier und Musiktheorie) bei Professoren der Musikhochschulen in München, Graz und Berlin und eine Ausbildung zur Hatha Yoga Lehrerin bei YogaVeda™ Berlin/New York City.
2007-2009 war sie im Theater an der Parkaue in Berlin, einigen Solo-Produktionen, in dem Stück “betwixt and between” von Felix Ruckert am Kampnagel in Hamburg, Zabreb und München, sowie in Lata Pada’s Produktion „shunya“ und in Mavin Khoo’s „B2“ in Toronto und beim Canada Dance Festival in Ottawa/Kanada zu sehen. Außerdem tourte sie mit der Chitraleka Dance Company durch England.
2009 wurde ihre Solo-Produktion „5“ von der Dezentralen Kulturarbeit Schöneberg-Tempelhof gefördert und bei der 10. Schöneberger Tanznacht präsentiert. Im Dezember 2009 spielte sie eine der beiden Hauptrollen in der Tanz-Theater Produktion ‘Frauen Hammam’ (Regie Ihsan Othman) in Suleymania, Irak.
2010 war sie Teil des Festivals "12 Min./max." in Zürich trat in mehreren Solo Produktionen auf (München, Norwegen, Belgien), arbeitete mit Sadhana Dance Company in London und eröffnetet die Ausstellung "los desastres de la guerra" in Havanna/Kuba mit einer site-specific Performance.
2011 zeigte sie das "Solo CENTRIFUGE/carmen sampled" in Kollaboration mit Mi Zhou und Robin Storey im Bloomsbury Theatre, London, war Teil der "HOPE performance of long duration" in den Berliner Uferstudios und tourte mit verschiedenen Projekten durch Europa, in den Mittleren Osten und nach Indien.
Im Dezember 2011 präsentierte sie ihre neue Choreographie "santosham", die von der Dezentralen Kulturarbeit Berlin Schöneberg-Tempelhof gefördert wurde.

She was trained in contemporary dance and ballet from the age of six at Jessica Iwanson, Munich. additionally she has been studying the classical Indian temple dance Bharatanatyam in India, Germany, USA and Canada since 1995. She concluded her studies with her ‘arangetram’ in November 2006. She is one of very few European dancers, who show Indian dance on a highly professional level.
Additionally Johanna completed her modern dance training at danceworks-berlin e.V. and at Alvin Ailey School of American Dance Theater in New York City. Her teachers include Savithri J. Rao (Kalakshetra/Madras), Lata Pada (Toronto), Ms V Gayatri Devi (Kalakshetra/NYC), Rajyashree Ramesh (Berlin), Ana Marie Forsythe (NYC), Tracy Inman (NYC) and Elena Comendador (NYC).
Besides her dance trainings she studied classical music (piano and music theory) with professors of music universities in Munich, Graz and Berlin and completed a Hatha Yoga teacher training at YogaVedaTM Berlin/New York City.

Derrick Amanatidis erhielt 2005 seinen Bachelor of Dance von dem Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia. Im selben Jahr war er Stipendiat bei der Mitcham Dowd Foundation, welches ihm ermöglichte auf der Tournee von Ballet Lab's "Amplification" nach New York mitzureisen. Seither arbeitet er als freischaffender Tänzer, künstlerischer Berater und Lehrer. Er arbeitete mit Phillip Adams & Miguel Gutierrez (BalletLab), Garry Steward (Australian Dance Theatre), Micha Purucker, Shelly Lasica, Lee Serle, Lars Dahl Pederssen, Antony Hamilton, Byron Perry, Raewyn Hill (DanceNorth), Modjgan Hashemian & Opera Australia in Australien, Neuseeland, Europa und in den USA.
Er gehört auch zu den Gründern der Rouge Collective, die 2008 beim NextWave Festival in Melbourne, Australien debütierte und nach Korea zum MODAFE Festival in Seoul, Korea eingeladen wurde. 2009 erhielt Derrick ein Reise-Stipendium der Ian Potter Cultural Trust Foundation, welches ihm ermöglichte den künstlerischen Austausch in Europa und darüber hinaus zu erforschen.

He is also a founding member of the Rogue Collective, which debuted at the 2008 NextWave Festival Melbourne, Australia and most recently Rogue Collective toured to Korea for the MODAFE Festival in Seoul. Eva Isolde Balzer ist eine in Berlin lebende, international arbeitende Performerin/Regisseurin. In den letzten Jahren waren ihre künstlerischen Heimaten Berlin, Ägypten (Kairo/Alexandria), Indien (Chennai) und Dänemark. Ihre Schwerpunkte sind "intime Performances" sowie kultur-anthropologische Auseinandersetzungen. Neben Schauspiel hat sie Kulturanthropologie/Indologie studiert und tanzt Klassisches Indisches Tanztheater.
Zuletzt war sie in Europa, Nordafrika und Indien mit ihren eigenen Arbeiten, sowie in Produktionen von Cantabile2, Rasika Dance Theatre International, Nora Amin , Maria Stoyanova und KoME, um nur einige zu nennen, zu sehen.

Nachdem sie ihren Abschulss in zeitgenössischem Tanz bei The Place in London gemacht hatte, zog sie nach New York City, um ihe Ausbildung bei der Trisha Brown Dance Company weiterzuführen. Seither arbeitete sie weltweit z.B. mit Deep Blue Project (National Dance Company of Wales), Legitimated Body Dance Company (Ireland), Slamfest Dance Company (US), Running into the political equator Project (Mexico), L O S T . (France / Italy), Human Kinetic Arts Movement (Germany), Cie Yu Dans (South Korea), HOPE BBS (Bulgaria/Spain/Germany), um nur ein paar zu nennen. Ausserdem arbeitete sie im Bereich Improvisation mit Simone Forti, Kirstie Simpson, Andrew Harwood, Chris Aiken und Luka Kito. Sie reist weiterhin regelmäßig in die USA, um an dem Projekt The Figure Space von Steve Paxton und Lisa Nelson teilzunehmen.

Sarai Samarasa wurde 1989 geboren und erhielt ihren Bharata Natyam Unterricht durch Diana Mikolai bei der Abinaya Tharpana Dance School, Berlin, wo sie 2005 ihr arangetram machte. Seit sie sechs Jahre alt ist trat sie mit klassischem und zeitgenössischem Tanz, wobei sie mit Musikern unterschiedlicher Musikrichtungen kollaborierte in Deutschland, Österreich, England und Sri Lanka auf. Sara gewann 2005 den Nationalen Bharata Natyam Wettbewerb in Deutschland in der Hauptkategorie "Varnams".
